You're probably familiar with how to submit articles for traditional article submissions:

Along with your article you submit a resource box that contains a link that goes back to your website. Ideally, the link will use your keywords as anchor text.

Not all links are created equal--links that use keywords associated with the website that is being linked to can speak much more powerfully to Google than a regular link that is just a written out URL. Also, links that appear higher up on the page can get more attention from search engines.

With traditional free reprint articles, you do not have anchor text links in the article body--those types of links are reserved for the resource box that usually sits below your article.

Article marketing is undergoing an exciting revolution though...

You now have the ability to submit articles to some publishers (blog publishers) where the resource box is replaced with anchor text links within the article itself.

So, blog publishers do not receive any resource box--instead they get article body links that use anchor text that the author specifies and that link back to the author's website.

What are the benefits of these new types of free reprint articles?

Author's prefer these types of free reprint articles because the backlinks that they get from the article are anchor text links that use their own keywords. These types of links speak very loudly to Google and the other search engines. The links are higher up on the page, within the body of content on the page. The links are also coming from very relevant websites, closely associated to the niche of the author's site.

The more relevant the website where the link is coming from, the greater importance the link can have. For example, if your website is about collecting Star Wars memorabilia, a link from another site on Star Wars would be more valuable than a link to your site from a more general type of site, all other things being equal.

These types of special articles are meant specifically for blog publishers, rather than article directories. Other than blog publishers, all other types of publishers should receive a normal resource box.

The blog publisher benefits too from a steady supply of free blog articles, effectively freeing them up from needing to create all the content for their blogs themselves.

When creating these types of articles with anchor text links to your site in the article body instead of a resource box, here are some guidelines to follow:

*Write naturally. Your article should read as a normal article with no attention drawn to the article body links. Write your article first, then select a couple places in your article where you can hyperlink your keywords to lead to your website.

*The words used to form the links should blend in to the article--don't try to draw attention to the links by saying "Click here" or anything.

*There should be nothing in the article that looks promotional. Even though the article body links to your website, there should be no textual reference to your website, products, services, etc. The links should blend into the natural wording of your article without drawing attention away from the information that the article provides.

Again, this is only applicable to submissions done to certain types of blog publishers. It's the same concept as a free reprint article, but just goes about it in a different way. The SEO benefits for website owners are significant, so even though it may seem a little unorthodox, it's worth looking into.
