Like many people are you mystified when it comes to the success of marketing with articles online? Do you have many friends who declare that it's injecting energy into their websites and other contacts who declare it just doesn't deliver for their project?

The purpose of this article is to absolutely, and finally answer the question on so many lips: Does online article marketing work?

Marketing with articles delivers for most of companies who carry it out correctly. You don't have to be an SEO mastermind or tch guru to make it work. Marketing with articles is rather simple, and millions of regular small, everyday business owner managers use with enormous success as their main marketing tool for their website.

So the question is, what would cause a person to declare that it didn't deliver for their site? By far and away the most frequent reason why a person did not see the results he is seeking is this:

The person doesn't submit their articles consistently enough to see results.

People are really predictable--we want to see an enormous payoff for virtually no input. That is why we commence an exercise program and fail after a week or two, demoralized because we do not look like a professional athlete by then.

People tend to want instantaneous results in virtually everything we do, and this is why it could be just too easy for some people to get downcast when they undertake their online article marketing campaigns.

So, I will tell you what you can realistically anticipate, so that you will be able to keep your momentum and motivation going until the time when your results kick off.

1 - To start with, you will start to submit a few articles each and every month. If your submissions are automatic, 8 articles is a good amount per month for each one of the websites that you are marketing.

For the first few months:

*You might not see a great deal of difference to your websites traffic. Sure, there might well be a few clicks coming from your initial articles that are published around the internet, and you may experience several large surges of traffic immediately after a publication, but almost certainly nowhere near enough to blow you away, and nowhere near the level of the traffic you may get with a higher search engine ranking;

*You may not come across any added backlinks coming up for your website in the search engines just yet;

*You might not see any promising uplift to your site's search engine ranking for any of your keyword terms.

Sounds encouraging, doesn't it? That is the reason it is really helpful to be forewarned and forarmed--the first few months of your campaign is when you're building things up, so you might not see a lot of evidence of your online article marketing campaigns progress.

2 - You stick at it and continue to progress with your article submission campaign. After these first few months of your activity, you are going tostart to see an onslaught of backlinks show up for your site in all the search engines. These are the links that you have been building up over the previous few months. They don't show up from the off--it takes some time for Google to calculate them.

You may also see your PageRank moving up either before or after your backlinks start to show up.

In Addition, if youare utilising keywords in your submissions, you may start seeing your website's primary jumps up the search engine rankings. (To help you keep check on your progress, it is wise to make a note of your PageRank, rankings and backlinks for your keyword terms before marketing with articles.)

3 - Motivated by your initial triumph, you carry on submitting articles steadily, and a few each time, in fits and spurts and every now and then huge jumps, your site will go up the search engine rankings.

Your big "payoff" is increasing traffic from the searches people do on Google, Yahoo, etc. In fact, this is the main target of online article marketing campaigns—to obtain a higher Google ranking so that you are able to cash in on the truckload of traffic that a really high search engine ranking delivers. The time this process will take is dependent on your particular niche and how competitive it is.

Now you know what so many other small business managers are doing to get amazing enhancements to their website traffic. So, go on and make marketing with articles work for you!
