When you've got a great idea for a number of related articles, You could easily be tempted to produce an article series. You could easily do that and it could actually be really helpful for your writing work, but just be sure that you are creating your series with a real focus on article marketing.

Within this article, I will give you tips and advice on creating an article series that will work fantastically with free reprint articles.

You've seen the lines of people waiting to get in to see the latest Harry Potter movie. Itseems with each subsequent movie, the number of followers gets bigger and more and more interest is generated.

I'm afraid, it is simply not always that way when you are working with free reprint articles.

When you are writing articles as part of a series, it is important not to mention Part One, Part Two, Part Three, etc. Each article must be able to stand alone and not mention the other articles.

In the body copy of your article, it is best not to try to connect the current article to any others by saying things like, "This is the 3 part of a 6 part series..." or "Last time I was telling you about..." or anything like that.

You must assume that the reader will be looking at just one of your online article submissions and that she or he won't have your other articles to refer to.

What's the reason for not mentioning Part 1, Part 2, etc.?

Not mentioning any parts in your title or article body gives your article the greatest potential readership. You see, publishers can be discouraged from accepting articles that say Part 1, 2, or whatever.

It's not certain that the publisher would like to publish each and every part of your article series, however they might want to publish just a couple of your articles. Let's just say for example, that you have a series of six articles tied to each other. It is entirely possible that a publisher could look through the series and say, "Do you know what? I like parts 1 and 4, but I'm not really interested in the others. But I can't publish just these two, because it would be confusing to my readers. so I won't publish any of them."

Seeing a title that is a part of a series really can be a turn off for readers as well. The reader won't potentially see every part in your series. However, they will just be face to face with one of your articles. If he or she sees that it's Part 5, it can be discouraging because he might think that he's missed so much information to be able to understand this 5th part.

So, why would one produce an article series?

Don't get me wrong—creating a series can be extremely helpful to you as a writer.

Creating a series really can help you build up momentum as a writer. It can also help you write content that more thoroughly covers your niche and generates ideas more easily.

The only thing to be sure of is that each article stands on its own and does not reference the other articles. That way you're happy because you've got your article series going (in secret--no one else knows about it!), and publishers and readers are happy because they are presented with articles that look complete in themselves.
